Haarlem and the Spaarne

Haarlem is a beautiful city. We spent the weekend there and explored the old town. I took a few photos of Gravestenen-bridge, which is a beautiful bridge in Haarlem’s old city centre. The first photo was shot with the Sony A7RII but with an old crop lens, because I wanted to use an ND filter during golden hour. The result isn’t all that bad. Because of the filter and resulting longer shutter time, the water is nice and flat. The movement in the clouds also provides a nice effect.

The rest of the photos along the Spaarne were shot using the 28mm Sony full frame lens. As you can see, this provides a better picture overall than the Sigma 17mm crop lens. This area of Haarlem is very nice, I especially liked Teyler’s Hofje.
