Dordrecht and the Biesbosch: a city walk and a boat trip

A visit to Dordrecht brought together two very different settings: the historic city centre and harbour, followed by the waterways of the Biesbosch.

The old streets and waterfront made it easy to find compositions. Later, we hired a small boat to explore the nature reserve, where photographing became more of an adventure.

Crossing the river proved difficult, and we briefly became stuck in shallow water before freeing the boat. Despite those challenges, the islands, trees and birds made the Biesbosch a memorable contrast to the city photographs.
