Wilhelminapier Rotterdam: bridges and waterfront light

A short photo walk around Rotterdam’s Wilhelminapier offered views of Hotel New York, the Erasmus Bridge and the wider waterfront. The mix of old and new buildings made it easy to keep looking for another angle.

On the far side of the pier, a pedestrian bridge provided a useful foreground. Further along the Maas, we found a viewpoint towards the Erasmus Bridge and the Euromast.

The sky turned red, although the strongest colour sat away from the bridge itself. We worked with the light that reached each composition and brought home a varied set of waterfront photographs.
