An old car wreck at Plaswijckpark: an HDR experiment

During a family visit to Plaswijckpark near Rotterdam, an old car wreck caught my eye. I did not have my usual Sony A7R II with me, so I used a compact camera instead.

I took three bracketed exposures without a tripod and combined them in Photomatix Pro. A pronounced HDR treatment can easily overwhelm a photograph, but here it suited the worn surfaces and unusual subject.

The result was an unplanned experiment: a small detail from a day out that became worth photographing in its own right.
