Scheveningen: beach, pier and sculpture at the shore

Scheveningen is the closest beach to my home and a familiar place to return with a camera. On this visit, I photographed the pier, the Kurhaus and details around the beach.

Near Museum Beelden aan Zee, the sculpture Tsuki-no-Hikari caught my attention. Although visible from the beach, it was something I had not noticed on earlier visits.

Its mysterious form offered a contrast to the larger seaside landmarks. The collection brings those different subjects together, showing how a familiar stretch of coast can still reveal something new.
