A blood moon above an industrial scene in Zoetermeer

For the lunar eclipse in July 2018, I wanted to place the red moon inside an industrial composition. I chose the Boels site near my home in Zoetermeer and framed the moon within the basket of a machine.

Thick clouds left only a brief opportunity to photograph it. The result was not as sharp as I had hoped, but it captured the idea: an unusual celestial event set against a familiar piece of machinery.
