Mushrooms in Mastbos Forest

55mm | ƒ/2.8 | 1/125s | ISO 200

The Mastbos forest is the oldest forest in The Netherlands. It is next to the city of Breda and a wonderful area for a hike. Here we went around autumn and found some of the most perfect mushrooms you can find.

It was a bit difficult to get photos from the forest itself, because there was a lot of lumber jacking going on. Trees were cut down and piled up. Also the autumn colors were not at their height when we visited the forest.

But the mushrooms we found clearly made up for it. There were some beautiful fly agaric mushrooms that were just perfect.

Also the 15th century Castle of Bouvigne, which is right next to the forest, was pretty awesome to behold during blue hour.
