Meijendel in winter: dunes in the last light

My second visit to Meijendel took place in early December. With bare trees, cold air and an early sunset, the nature reserve looked very different from the autumn woodland I had photographed before.

This time, I concentrated on the dunes. The low light brought out their shapes, but the best conditions lasted only briefly.

Protected areas and fences limited where I could walk, so finding a composition took some care. The combination of dunes, forest and nearby beach still made the reserve a rewarding place to explore with a camera.
