Dragonflies in the woodland and ponds of Oisterwijk

On the way home from a weekend in Eindhoven, we stopped to walk through the woods around Oisterwijk. Trees and small ponds made a peaceful setting for an unplanned photography stop.

Among the waterside plants, we spotted colourful dragonflies. Photographing them took patience because they rarely stayed still for long.

I eventually caught a blue dragonfly and a red one resting on leaves. These smaller encounters became the highlight of a walk that had begun with the wider woodland landscape.
